Scarlett Heights Entrepreneurial Academy (Scarlett Heights EA, Scarlett Heights, SHEA, or just simply Scarlett; originally known as Scarlett Heights Collegiate Institute) is a secondary school within the Toronto District School Board whose curriculum is broadened through a Student Leadership Development Program which extends the base curriculum. Prior to 1998, the school was governed by the Etobicoke Board of Education. Its motto is "Semper Ad Excellentiam" (''Always Toward Excellence''). ==History== Scarlett Heights Collegiate Institute was built in 1963 and opened in September 1964. The namesake, Scarlett refers to John Scarlett, an early land owner and entrepreneur in the area. By the 1999-2000 school year, Scarlett Heights C.I. was reborn as Scarlett Heights Entrepreneurial Academy. Then-mayor and current city councillor Rob Ford is a graduate of the school. Feeder schools include Hilltop Middle School and Dixon Grove Junior Middle School.
